The Backup Sun!

February 28, 2012 at 7:01 PM

Today’s weather was really versatile here in Lebanon, one minute it’s all warm and sunny and then the next minute you expect a spooky thunder or two.  To end the misery this got me, I put on my chic oversize yellow vintage coat. It’s a really good feeling when you wear a bright color during a stormy night out. Check out some of the photos my friend took of me, and excuse the dirt all over the greenery; but he never warned me about it. Oh and excuse the quality of the photos, I forgot my camera at home so had to use the smartphones.*sign*

D&G Stands for Divine Garments

February 27, 2012 at 8:07 PM

Yesterday was the Dolce and Gabbana show in Milan, presenting the Fall 2012 Collection. I would rather say that this is my favorite show of this month PACKED with fashion weeks and little fashionistas flying from one country to another.

The show featured beautifully embroidery, meaning the details gave the models a divine ‘greek’-ish look. And with the hairstyle being similar to the ones done in ancient Greece (with the olive tree branches [of course dipped in gold] reigning over the head), with a mix of the Victorian era. If I’m not wrong.

And of course the floral flair in some of the outfits. Was all about the details, details, details.

I could simply wander in those gorgeously made dresses. What woman wouldn’t wanna look all godly made and rich wherever she goes?

Think About What You’ve Done

February 26, 2012 at 5:34 PM

I promised a special post yesterday but I didn’t put it online due to me being heavily busy with life and people! And now I’m rethinking if this should be even called a special post.*facepalm*.

Anyways, here are some pictures my friend Syrine took of me because I simply wanted new pictures. I love every single piece of this outfit, and putting them together gave me a comfy feeling because it felt like I was hugged by some sort of cozy love haha.

Enjoy them!

Marni at H&M Mixed And Matched.

February 26, 2012 at 1:08 PM

Marni at H&M is by far the best collaboration of retail chain H&M and a fashion house. Launched just last week, the collection integrated beautiful clothes and chic accessories. Very colorful and fashion forward, I would gladly wear any of the menswear if I could. Check out some of the hottest pieces I mixed for the womenswear. How can you not love that orange top or the green jacket?

The Collection will hit the market on March 8th, in selected H&M stores.

Crucified Runway †

Versace, one of the most prestigious brands out there introduced the Fall Collection yesterday in the middle of huge media coverage and the world’s jet set. What’s interesting is the excessive use of Christian crosses on almost any garment (dress, boots, jackets… you name it)

While I enjoyed the religious sign being beautifully interpreted each time. Letters of the brand’s name Versace also made an appearance on some of the dresses. Another thing is how much the dresses flattered the models’ bodies, giving them a very feminine/glamorous allure. Black, yellow and white main colors of this collection. Use of leather got things little edgier as the show went on too.
