Things You Should Know

July 9, 2012 at 2:00 PM

It’s funny how some people never accept others’ opinions, ideas and beliefs. And sadly, I cannot find intolerance more than in Lebanon. I mean this is our problem, our only problem. And the only thing possible we can do is accept the person standing in front of us no matter his/her beliefs, opinion, ideology and background. Working together as one nation and one population is the key to a kind-of evolution and development. ย Just some thoughts I really believe in (since some of you thought I should comment on the current situation in Lebanon). But we’re here to talk about fashion, glitter, beauty, art and not politics and wars. There is no place for this kind of subjects on this page.

On to another crucial matter: MY OUTFIT!

I’ve fallen in love with these shorts ever since I layed my eyes on them, I’ve worn them to the GeekFest Beirut event this Thursday but these photos are a little bit older (about 4 days older). These lovely pastel shorts I found, in my favorite minty hue, at H&M caught my eyes and forced me to put them first in the shopping sac. Another thing I added was these vividly colored socks that just add some contrast and gayness (as in happiness) ย to the whole look. While avoiding the kaleidoscopic image with a black Billabong tee I bought last year from Cannes.

It Went A Little Like This

July 8, 2012 at 1:50 PM

The outfit right here is what I came up with from the sales season (and other items that cannot be worn in the same picture). It’s actually 90% H&M products, I feel like they need to pay me for advertising their name! But I just love those pastel shorts, and this shirt is just a cool match with it. The polka dots on the socks are also matched with the shirt’s colors, so I think my color blocking quest is complete Anyways, I was at my friend’s backyard where we took those lovely photos. More to come!

Ps I apologise to my Insta followers for not posting this on Friday!

Don’t You Try Geeking Me

July 7, 2012 at 2:00 PM

So as you saw in my previous post, GeekFest was a total hit and everybody had fun, including very melancholic people I do not dare mentioning ย the name of (you know yourselves). As for my outfit, I went for something, well… geeky? Just a plaid wool-blended vintage shirt, pastel shorts and my neon shoe laces (I bought during my visit to the old souks) matched with Zara sneakers. I digged the overall look, but in these photos I look about 20 pounds heavier, but you still get the point dear lovers.

GeekFest Beirut 5.0

July 6, 2012 at 9:03 PM

So yesterday, GeekFest was happening in Beirut (Gemmayzeh, to be exact). And all in all, it was an awesome night, surrounded by very warm people, geeks mostly! I took part in the fashion show where models showcased tee shirts by Fishy Nation, NOBRAND and Maya Zankoul and bras for a cause by One Wig Stand. As fashion bloggers, Chantal and I created our own looks and walked on the runway. fun fun fun!

The whole GeekFest was a total joy and everyone had a blast, I hope I can make the next festival. I took photos of the outfit I was wearing (not the one I walked down the runway in) but for now, here are the pictures of the overall festival.

Dior Couture Show and Raf Simons’ First

July 3, 2012 at 1:18 PM

Yesterday, Raf Simons showcased Dior’s new couture collection for f/w 2013 in a very floral scene. Very chic and elegant collection, I think we need more Rafs in the industry because designers like these are the ones to say don’t worry, everything’s in good hands!
